Fusion Inquiry Framework

We offer opportunities for families to engage more deeply in their child’s learning journey through:

A partnership grounded in understanding and support.
Ashton’s Place is our commitment to working alongside children and families who may experience the world differently.
Through this partnership, we:

- Provide guidance for families
- Build environments that support meaningful participation
This work is embedded across our centres-it is not separate from everyday practice.
Advisory & Community Groups
Listening to community to shape practice.
Our advisory groups guide how we grow and improve. These include:
- Positive Behaviour Guidance Strategy Group
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Group
- Community and family input forums
The outcomes from these groups influence how we work across all centres.
Autism Connect Early (ACE)
Early connection. Early understanding.
CE supports early identification and responsive strategies for autistic children.
It focuses on:
- Understanding communication and behaviour as meaningful
- Supporting educators with practical approaches
- Working in partnership with families from the beginning
ACE ensures that support is not delayed-it is part of the child’s everyday experience.
Pedagogy & Practice Support
Strengthening practice through guidance, not compliance.
Our Pedagogy and Curriculum Advocates work alongside centres to:
- Support educators in real environments
- Guide reflective practice
- Translate theory into meaningful interactions
This ensures consistency without removing individuality across centres.
ACE - Diverse Learning Approach
Extending understanding across all children.
Alongside autism-specific support, ACE also informs how we respond to a wide range of learning needs.
This approach:
- Recognises that all children learn differently
- Supports flexible and responsive teaching
- Ensures inclusion is embedded, not added
It allows educators to adjust practice in real time, based on what children show us.
